Bad day drawing of the Bryan Building

I drew this picture when I was having a rough day in studio. I just walked out and went to Yum Yum's. After finishing my hot dogs I did this one of the Bryan building. You meet the coolest people at Yum Yum's.

Landcape Sketch

This is a doodle from class. It's nothing fancy, but it's the first time I tried the scrubby technique for the tall grass that I learned from Nadia. The masonry turned out kinda cool as well.

Family Sketch

This one is from a while ago when I was at the beach for a family reunion. It is my family playing cards from across the room.

Room Sketch in 5 Point Perspective

This is a five point perspective sketch I did late one night with a piece of dental floss as a compass. This perspective adds a very interesting effect, it's definitely something I will experiment with and try to develop.

Alcohol vs. Drawing

This was an experiment to see what affect alcohol has on drawing ability. While I can't say it made as profound a difference as I was hoping, it did make it all much more fun. Beer wasn't the right choice, next time shots should do the job nicely.

I don't really like them much, but Chart-Pak markers are fun to play around with. Jake showed me a few things about line weight on these, so they became a lot more valuable because of the lessons they represent.
I have taken to doodling during lengthy lectures, this being the product of one such occasion.

Angry Drawings

I would say that I was very angry when I drew these two, but that just doesn't quite do it justice.

Picture for my mom

This was a picture I did with prismacolor pencils. Originally it was in my five year old sister's coloring book, but I persuaded her to give this to me. After finishing it I gave it to my mom, it usually is above her sewing machine. I have the coolest mom the the world.

This is a picture I did for my friend Kate.

A little bit of the South Point casino in Las Vegas

The thing about this one that I like is that I tried a different approach, rather than just going with lines, I started shading and built it outwards from there. I just shaded myself a blob on the paper and kept building until it looked like the drawing here.

practice sketches of eyes

This is the boarding gate at the airport for my flight to Las Vegas this past winter break.
